Sooo sorry I didn't post any pics last week, like I said I would. I've been busy prepping for my b-day party that got delayed till yesterday even though my actual birthday was on December 16.

Also, I've been getting my novel completed and after hardcore writing, I didn't feel like posting anything.  :P One of the winner goodies from NaNo was a code to get a free hardcover copy of your draft and it expired today.  I am happy to say that I finished my draft in time! I made a cover for it and ordered a copy of it yesterday.

Also, on Tuesday I got my braces off!!! I'm so excited! I can finally have gum and other snackies I otherwise couldn't have. Woo! I wasn't expecting to look the way I look without braces, although I didn't know what I was expecting in the first place, but I am sooo glad they are off! It's been 3 1/2 years!

Now unto the snowy pics. I didn't take as many photos as I usually do, but here they are:

I was trying to get a creative photo, but it was terribly hard and this was the best one that turned out. I had a coat, hat and gloves on still, but I had to take my boots off for the picture and I couldn't last more than 30 seconds standing there. My feet kept getting numb and I would run inside and jump around trying to warm them up. I had to go back three times to get this pic. xD

I had a mirror outside because I wanted to try and make it look like a portal or something with photoshop (I haven't gotten it to work yet) and I took a random picture, and I didn't even mean to, but it turned out well besides the fact that the flash popped up.

I had my mom pose her arm holding that snowball and my brother is suppose to look like he's about to get hit and is trying to defend himself.

My Costume...

So I went to my youth group's annual costume party on Wednesday and I kinda left you hanging on what I dressed up as...

Modern Snow White!!

It was super fun dressing up like her in modern days! I loved all the bright colors together. I will definitely wear this on other days too! Kinda like a casual-fancy outfit. 

My mom did my makeup, as I am not that good yet. XD She tried to make me look like Snow White and I think she did a great job! 

She also spray-paint dyed my bangs black. Well, tried to. I would not suggest using the spray-paint dye... It's soooo smelly and messy. Thankfully it washes out real well.

Overall, I LOVED my outfit and it was a fun night! lots of candy and popcorn! Umm....I spilled my popcorn TWICE....I was sitting in the front row of seats too...Eek...

Anywho...Did you guys like trick-or-treating? Who did you dress up as?

My Battle Scar

Okay, so I didn't really get a "battle scar," but I'll tell you what happened to me...

Yesterday evening, I was baking some bean burgers and had just pulled some out of the oven. I set them down on the stove and turned away to let them cool, but heard a clicking sound, as if the stove gas was on. I ran back and, without thinking, went to grab the pan, to check underneath.

For a millisecond, I didn't feel anything. It turned freezing cold, then I felt searing hot pain. Letting go, I jumped back, yelling in pain, and scaring my cat. I glanced at my shaking hand, noticing the blisters forming on my finger. My thumb also was burned, but not as bad. I held back my tears, while blowing on the burn. 

I can't even describe the pain I felt, it was horrible! And, I kid you not, it lasted for around an hour. Yet even after the searing pain was gone, it came back in small bursts.

Today, the pain is gone, though one of the blisters opened a little and that hurt, but only for a minute.

Being as curious as I am, I googled burns and I'm pretty confident that this was/is a second degree burn...yikes!

The only other time I burned myself was when I was baking cookies a year or two ago. I grabbed the pan out of the oven with one hand, but the pan started wobbling, so instinctively, I grabbed the pan with my other hand, which didn't have a mit on...Yeah, I dropped that sucker and cookies smashed and flew, while I cried out in pain. I didn't get blisters, though I was scared to handle a pan for a while after that.

Spontaneous Haircut

Helloooo peeeople!!

So, I knew I wanted to cut my hair short in the fall, but I didn't know it would be...today...It's not even fall yet!

But my mom was getting her hair cut and she asked me if I wanted one, so I said yes!
