Weird/Interesting Things Lately

Hello! 

These past few weeks, I have done some AMAZING things. Okay, not amazing things...nor very exciting...maybe just a little interesting? 

Anywho, here are a few things I've done recently:

I tried fried calamari for the first time! It was absolutely delicious if you can get past the thought of chewing rubber bands. Calamari is squid.

Yes, those purple-ish squiggly things are the tentacles. And they were one of the best parts. 

I'm a seafood person. Except for crab...and lobster. Don't like those.

I, also, tried cactus for the first time! We had it at a Mexican restaurant. It was cooked and all, so no prickles. Haha! It tasted like a sweet, lemony (and another taste I couldn't put my finger on) green pepper. I didn't like it very much. I do like green peppers though!

I like trying new things.

Oh, and me and my brother had been pet sitting recently and this one house attracts a lot of reptiles I guess, 'cause we saw two turtles and multiple good-sized toads there. I, of course, had to catch all the toads I saw... don't know why, but I like to catch them. I don't keep them though. Haha! 

We were watering some neighbors garden (it was HUGE) and I saw a tiny baby lizard!! It was so cute! It's head was black and the tail was blue (partly bitten off, sadly) with yellow veins running through it's body. I...I caught the little guy as well...Heh. I let him go though and hopefully he'll have a good life. xD

Guess what?

I'm going to be changing my blog! I've been learning CSS and HTML and it's pretty fun. It's awesome to see it come together! I started designing my new blog today! I'm going to stay on this site, but change the name. It's gonna look cleaner and more professional looking (hopefully).

Random Post...

'Ello peoples!

The weather is nice over here. Last week it was in the high 90s, but so far this week it has been in the low 80s. A great change! Do you agree North Carolinians? Well, I guess the weather varies in different cities, but yeah...tis nice where I live. How's the weather where you live?

Anyway, done talking about weather... I'm drinking hot chocolate right now. Even though it's summer...but I love it. I love any chocolate really...besides chocolate covered bugs..ew... Who doesn't love chocolate? Well, there are people who don't like it, but I feel sad 'cause they're missing out on a little taste of Heaven. Heh.

Currently, I've been continuing/editing my writing piece I posted for Hannah's first writing prompt contest! Then, I found out she's hosting another one!!! (Click here for details!) I'm writing out ideas for the prompt I'm choosing to do at this very moment! You should totally join if you love to write! It's so fun! 

Talking about writing contests, I will be hosting one soon! It's going to be different than the other two I've hosted. Stay on the look out for it!

The Day I Ate Chalk...

In 2nd grade (I was in public school then), there was a blue plastic treasure chest in our classroom that had cheap little things in it. Kids got to pick a toy out when they behaved or did well in school.

One day I got to pick something out! I dug through the chest trying to find something cool. The only thing that caught my eye was a pink, blue. and yellow flower wrapped in plastic. I snatched it up thinking it was a cookie. I didn't know how wrong I was.

When I got home, I took the "cookie" and showed my mom.  She thought it was chalk, but I told her otherwise. While I unwrapped it, a few broken pieces fell out, which for me, were crumbs. 

Then, I did it.

I took a bite.

It didn't taste like anything and it made my mouth dry.  After playing with it in my mouth, I spit it out, thinking back on what Mom had said. I took the one-less-flower-petal "cookie" and drew on our chalkboard. 

I knew, then, that it was chalk.

Random Post/6 Word Story

Hello!

I'm looking forward to warm weather. It has been bitterly cold, but then it would get warm and then it would get cold again. I'm ready for it to stay warm. :P I wish there was a good snowfall this winter, though. Usually, there is a day where there is a lot of snow, but there was only a little bit of snow this time.

What Title Should I Do...

Hello all!

Yeah, sometimes I don't know what to put in the title of my post. xD

Anyway, sorry for not posting in awhile! This is a busy time of year.  Can you believe that there's only 4 days till Christmas?  I have no idea, besides a few books, what I want for Christmas.  My mom does though. xD

It snowed some yesterday! The snow didn't stick, but it was still pretty.  I forgot to take some pics though. Next time I will! :P

I'll hopefully write a better post soon! :D

Crayon Art

|Hello to all you awesome people!|

My mom and I did a crayon craft thing where you glue crayons on top of a canvas and then you melt them. We found it on Pinterest (of course). :P

Here is a tip if you are gonna do this craft.

*If you take the crayon paper off, then the only glue that will make them stick to the canvas is regular craft glue, otherwise you can use a hot glue gun.

Soo, hi.

Yes, this is a very random post...

My cat has been laying on my pillow at night lately.  I have no idea why, but when I woke up in the middle of the night one time, I saw her curled up on my pillow, no room for me. (No, I didn't want to just push her off my bed... :P )  So, I decided I would fix this predicament.

 I sewed a makeshift pillow bed for her, yesterday!  Hopefully that will help. xD

My New Hair Coloring and Randomness from this Beautiful Day

Recently, my mom highlighted my hair with blonde coloring and dyed the tips of my hair pink. :)

Todays weather was just lovely.  Yes, that's the word.  Lovely.  

It was warm outside, but there was a cool, refreshing breeze.  There was a hint of fall in the air and I could almost smell it.  I wanted to stay outside all day and feel the breeze blow around me.

There were dark clouds in the sky that looked like it would spill any minute like a full pitcher of water tipping.  It never did rain today, though...

Random Story from Today

Here is a little drama from my life today. :P

I was going to put some mixing bowls away in a cabinet, but when I  started opening it, stuff started falling towards me.  

I thought to myself, Ugh, someone didn't put stuff away right.  

I, first, put my knees together to try and catch stuff (The cabinet is on the floor), then, I started pushing the heavy bowls back in their spot (the bowls were stacked on top of each other) so I would have hands to catch stuff.  

All of a sudden, the whole shelf collapsed and the bowls, sprinkles, and other miscellaneous stuff slid out.  The heaviest bowl, which was the bottom one, broke when it touched the wood floor, but thankfully, the others were plastic!  

Somehow, I jumped out of the bowls way.  I'm sooo grateful to say that none of the sprinkle's lids popped open.

 You know that feeling you get when you break something (which actually wasn't my fault) on accident?  Yeah.... But my dad wasn't mad at me and helped clean up the mess! :)  (My mom is out at the moment so she doesn't know yet. :P )

Well, that's it! That was the most dramatic part of today for me besides going to the orthodontist... *shivers*
